"Roberson Scores Hat Trick in RUSH Crates"

           Budds Creek, MD-  Winchester,Va.'s Kyle Hardy drove to his second straight Late Model feature win in last Friday nights 30-lap main event at Potomac Speedway. The $2000 win for Hardy, aboard his Viper Risk Management, Pancho's Racing Supply Rocket XR-1 no.3V, came in record time as he romped to a green to checker victory in just 8 minutes and 35 seconds.
          Hardy and defending Potomac track champion Dale Hollidge brought the field to green with Hardy blasting into the top-spot as the field drove into turn one. Hardy had his machine dialed in to the racy Potomac surface as he would lead all 30 circuits in convincing fashion to score his 3rd career win in Potomac Late Model action. "The past few weeks this car has been on point." Hardy stated post race. "We drew a good number for the feature and once we got in clean air it was just about perfect tonight." Hardy had high praise for the racy Potomac surface, despite temps in the high 90's all week. "There were a few rough spots out there, but you could race all over it." Said Hardy. "This place is good every time we come here and I wish more tracks around here were as racy as this place is." Hollidge held tough for second with Jason Covert, Daryl Hills and Jamie Lathroum rounding out the top-five. Heats went to Hardy and Covert.
        Defending track champion Logan Roberson took his 3rd win of the season, and 8th of his career, in the companion 20-lap RUSH Crate Late Model main. Roberson shot from the pole and would lead the distance behind the wheel of his Rocket XR-1 no.17R in the non stop feature that was completed in just 5 minutes and 51 seconds. "We had a great car tonight." Roberson stated in victory lane. "Starting spot means so much these days and we were able to get to the front first tonight." Darren Alvey took second with Matt Glanden, Ben Bowie and Chuck Bowie trailing at the finish. Heats went to Roberson and Ben Bowie. 
        In support class action, Jeremy Pilkerton drove to his 3rd win of the season in the 16-lap Street Stock feature, defending track champion Sam Archer took his 4th of the season in the make up 15-lap Hobby Stock feature, Mikey Latham won for the second time this year in the regularly scheduled Hobby Stock event with Ben Pirner scoring in the 15-lap U-Car contest.
